UNC Basketball: Marcus Paige gets married in Chapel Hill

Former UNC star Marcus Pagie got married on Saturday night with his teammates and coaches in attendance

It was just over a week ago that former University of North Carolina standout Justin Jackson got married. This weekend it was another former Tar Heel basketball player’s turn.

Former UNC star Marcus Paige and former UNC dance team member Taylor Hartzog got married on Saturday night, hosting the ceremony and reception in Chapel Hill. It comes just a little over a year since they announced their engagement.

The event took place at the Chapel Hill Country Club with former teammates and coaches in attendance.

Paige’s teammate and former UNC star Brice Johnson was the best man in the wedding, standing beside his best friend on the special day.

Johnson and Paige played four years together at UNC and were roommates during that time.

Head coach Roy Williams was also in attendance to take in the festivities and spend the day with his former star.

Among the players in attendance were Paige’s former teammates Justin Jackson, Kenny Williams, Isaiah Hicks, Theo Pinson, Nate Britt and Joel James.

From the few photos we have already, the reception looks like a blast.

On Instagram, both Pinson and Berry were showing off their dance moves as they hit the floor with those at the wedding.

Even the grooms cake was a hit as it celebrated Paige’s time at UNC:

Paige recently announced he was returning to North Carolina as he signed a contract with the Charlotte Hornets.

The guard is expected to begin the year in the NBA G-League as he continues to pursue his dream of reaching the NBA.
