UNC Football: Tar Heels football team starting to receive Jordan Brand gear
By Zack Pearson
New UNC gear from Jordan Brand is starting to roll in for the Tar Heels football program
There’s a lot of reasons to be excited for the start of the 2017 college football season.
Even with so many question marks surrounding the North Carolina Tar Heels, the return of college football couldn’t come sooner. With head coach Larry Fedora attempting to build up the Tar Heels program, the next few years should be fun to watch in Chapel Hill.
But there’s another reason that has fans, players and coaches pretty happy.
Back in March it was revealed that the Tar Heels would be the second college football program to officially be sponsored by Jordan Brand, joining the University of Michigan.
The school’s basketball program has been sponsored by Jordan Brand for years and has shown off some pretty cool player exclusive shoes.
Now it’s the football team’s turn.
Over the last week or so, the UNC football equipment managers have shared some images of new Jordan Brand gear including cleats and shoes.

The Carolina Equipment Twitter page tweeted out these awesome Free Trainer shoes that will go to the football team, as well as other athletic programs:
Back in April, the football team received a pair of Air Jordan 11 lows in a UNC colorway that was released in stores.
Their reaction was priceless upon seeing the shoes. Other products have circulated on Twitter including a visor that Fedora will wear but the image has since been deleted.
When Michigan was announced as a sponsored team, plenty of new gear was released and hit stores. We expect the same thing to happen with the UNC program.
