Jordyn Adams picked UNC over Clemson on Monday night. Check out what former players, current recruits and fans had to say

The North Carolina Tar Heels football class received some good news on Monday, July 3 when they landed wide receiver Jordyn Adams.

The four-star Adams is a huge instate pickup for head coach Larry Fedora and his staff, giving the Tar Heels their 11th commitment in their 2018 class.

Adams is ranked as the best receiver in the state of North Carolina and a top 30 player at his position in the entire 2018 class.

After narrowing down his choices between UNC and Clemson, Adams decided to announce his decision live on the NFL Network during coverage of The Opening, a premier event for high school recruits in Oregon.

Adams had his family with him as he held up his UNC gloves and gave his commitment to the class. As soon as he did, Tar Heels fans on Twitter reacted to the good news:

They weren’t the only ones. Former quarterback Marquise Williams offered his support to Adams, calling him his little brother and welcoming him to the team.

Fellow class of 2018 recruits also congratulated their newest teammate with tweets.

Linebacker Payton Wilson and quarterback Tyler Shough were quick to show their support for Adams as they are now teammates.

For UNC, the commitment is a HUGE one. Adams is one of the better talents in the country and beating out a team like Clemson for him was big for the program.

Wide receivers coach Gunter Brewer was one happy man following the commitment and referenced a former UNC star in his tweet.

Adams is expected to play both baseball and football at UNC.

With another commitment in the 2018 class, UNC is off to good start recruiting-wise as they look to continue to build the program.
