The University of North Carolina football team landed in a few prospects top teams list released via Twitter
As the summer season approaches, the 2018 football recruiting cycle will enter the quiet period for June and July meaning only contact with recruits while they are on campus.
This is the season for recruits to list their top schools, trimming down the list in their recruiting process. Some recruits for the 2018 class have already done so while others are getting set to trim their list.
The North Carolina Tar Heels have four hard commits from recruits in their 2018 class, giving them a composite top 50 class according to 247 Sports.
UNC is still in the running for several recruits as they look to build off an impressive 2017 class from Larry Fedora and his staff.
Over the Memorial Day Weekend, UNC landed in the top 11 for a three-star receiver out of Florida when Jeshaun Jones released his list on Saturday:
Joining UNC as ACC schools on his list are North Carolina State, Louisville and Virginia Tech. Jones took a visit to Chapel Hill back in April for the Tar Heels Spring Game.
Jones is the 77th ranked player in the state of Florida and 138th at his wide receiver position.
On Sunday, three-star cornerback DeAndre Hollins listed his top 8 and also included the Tar Heels along with the Cardinals and Hokies:

The Tar Heels offered the Florida product back in April of 2017. He’s ranked as the 123rd prospect in the state of Florida.
Also on Sunday, UNC was listed in the top 10 for four-star defensive end/tight end prospect Jayson Oweh who also revealed his list via Twitter:
The New Jersey product is ranked as the 19th-best player among defensive ends in the 2018 class. He stands at 6-foot-5, 236-pounds and would be a big get for the Tar Heels on their line.
