Role Players: Kenny Williams, Seventh Woods, Brandon Robinson

The Heels will have several role players return, and could boast one of the deepest benches in the league again.

Kenny Williams will fight for a starting spot with Jalek Felton, and could very easily win that. Williams three-point shot made a big jump from his freshman to sophomore year. Williams even hit five three’s against Radford last season.

His defense is also incredible, allowing him to be the “3-and-D” guy off the bench.

Seventh Woods will see a bump in minutes with the departure of Nate Britt. Woods improved vastly over the season, cutting down his turnovers as the season went on. He even had some flashy plays against NC State last season, leaving the Wolfpack in the spin cycle.

If he can develop a consistent three-point shot, Woods can make the sophomore leap that Joel Berry did.

Brandon Robinson will also see big minutes for the Heels next season. Early on in the year, Robinson showed his “Junkyard Dog” mentality. He even had to get stitches while in Maui following a shot to the mouth.

Robinson’s three-point shot is not bad, but it could use some improvement and consistency. But the rest of his game shows much promise.
