T.J. Logan was selected in the fifth-round by the Arizona Cardinals. What will now become of the former North Carolina running back?

Welcome to the NFL TJ Logan.

With the 179th overall pick, the 36th pick in the fifth-round, the Arizona Cardinals got a former Tar Heels running back who can also be a weapon in the passing game.

Logan becomes the 16th running back taken from the University of North Carolina. He is the first running back taken since the Bengals took Giovanni Bernard in the second round back in 2013.

Logan’s best game came in the season-opening loss to Georgia. Logan had only six rushes but he ran for 80 yards and scored a touchdown.

He also had five kick returns for over 180 yards and another score. The score came on the opening kickoff of the second half and gave the Tar Heels their first lead of the day. His touchdown run came on the next drive providing UNC a ten point cushion.

For his career, Logan finished with 2,195 yards and 19 touchdowns in 394 rushing attempts. He also had 76 receptions for 663 yards and four scores.

Additionally, he had over 2,000 kick return yards and five total touchdowns.

That gave him nearly 5,000 all-purpose yards and 28 touchdowns in a career. A clear all-around type player.

He should fit in really well at Arizona.

The Cardinals love to pass the ball and Logan could step in right away as a third down back who catches the ball out of the outfield. He will definitely make Carson Palmer’s life easier.

Even if he doesn’t get on the field right away on offense he should add value to the team on special teams and returning kicks.

The Cardinals have made a great move.
