Shooting Guard: Marcus Paige (’12-’16)

Probably one of, if not the most beloved Tar Heel of all time, Paige slides in the starting lineup playing shooting guard.

Though he played point guard for most of his career, he also slid over to the two-guard last year when Joel Berry II stepped in as the point guard of the future.

The all-time leader in made three-pointers in a career, Paige finished his Carolina career with a 13.1 point average and 4.3 assist average.

He also finished his Carolina career being named to two All-ACC teams, and second team All-America.

We were all crushed last year when Paige left his college career without being able to win a national championship, but he did give Carolina fans one of the most memorable shots of all time.

And throughout the 2016-17 season, his love and support of the program could be felt on social media, particularly on Twitter where he would often praise and compliment the team and its players.

He will go down in Carolina history as one of the best players to ever wear a Tar Heel jersey.
