2015-2016 North Carolina Tar Heels

33-7; ACC Regular Season and Tournament Champions; National Runner-up

This team gets punished in my mind, just because of how recent it was.

We do not know how great this team truly was because we do not have a great historical perspective of it yet.

But this team was extremely fun to watch.

We all know what happened in the title game, but even before that, we all knew how special Marcus Paige was. Paige had an up and down senior year, but his uncanny ability to hit clutch shots was something that was replicated only by the GOAT, Michael Jordan.

Brice Johnson was the alpha on the team last year. In ACC play against Florida State, Johnson posted an incredible 39 points and 23 rebounds in 37 minutes of play! With the one-two punch of Paige and Johnson, the Heels were never out of any game.

This team had a total of six guys who would go on to score 1,000-plus points in their Tar Heel career. The supporting cast featured Joel Berry, Justin Jackson, Kennedy Meeks, Isaiah Hicks and Theo Pinson. They rolled through ACC play, winning the regular season, and the ACC tournament.

Unfortunately, this team did not win the National Championship, but we all can remember how special this team was.

History will look back fondly on this UNC team.
