The 2017 NCAA Tournament has reached the Sweet Sixteen. How does each team rank in this all important second Weekend?

The Sweet 16 is here.

Last year the ACC made up six of the 16 teams. This year it is a little different.

Four conferences (the SEC, Big 12, Big Ten, and Pac 12) have three representatives each.  Another, the Big East, has two. The ACC has just one, but that one is North Carolina, who was able to survive an even attack from Arkansas and keep the ACC’s hopes of winning a title alive.

This Sweet 16 is a mix. It has all four 4-seeds, three threes, and two twos. It also had three of the four No. 1 seeds, two sevens and an 11-seed.

However, some may argue this Sweet 16 is also lacking; lacking teams that feel they were beaten by the refs in Northwestern and St Mary’s. Teams that were beaten by lack of awareness in Vanderbilt.

It is also lacking in perennial powers. Villanova isn’t in this tournament having lost to Vanderbilt. Also as all Tar Heels fans are aware, Duke is also no longer a viable candidate to cut down the nets in Phoenix.

So how do these 16 teams rank?
