Hicks has had his moments this season. When he is on, he is impossible to defend. When he is off, he is easy to defend because he is usually sitting on the bench in foul trouble.

In 31 games, Hicks averaged 11.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game while while leading the team with a .597 field goal percentage. That field goal percentage coupled with a .806 free throw percentage led to Hicks finishing in the top-five in the ACC in true shooting percentage.

Hicks’ best game came in a win over Duke on senior night in the Heels’ last game of the season on Saturday, March 4th. Hicks finished with 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor. He also went 7-of-8 from the free throw line and grabbed nine rebounds as the Tar Heels beat their rivals.

Mahmoud has grown a lot in his three seasons at Louisville. The Egyptian big man was a raw prospect when Pitino first got him, but has since grown into a valuable player in the Cardinals’ nine-man rotation.

On the season, Mahmoud is averaging 5.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. His total blocks are not only tops on the team but are also top-five in the ACC.

Mahmoud’s best game came in a win over Duke on Saturday, January 14th. Mahmoud recorded his only double-double of the season, pulling down 11 boards and scoring 17 points against the Blue Devils.
