Players 20 and 21

Though LeDay would often come into the game off the bench, he was in essentially a starter and a star for the Hokies. LeDay was rewarded for his stellar play by being named All-ACC honorable mention.

On the season, LeDay averaged 15.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game over the course of 30 games. He led the team in points and was second on the team in rebounds. LeDay also finished top five in the ACC in free-throw attempts, where he hit 77 percent of them.

LeDay’s best game came on the Hokies’ last game of the season, a loss to Wake Forest on Saturday, March 4th. LeDay finished the game with 24 points on 9-for-10 shooting. He also grabbed 10 boards for a double-double. Additionally, LeDay, who struggled with fouls most of the season, had four fouls in the loss.

Spalding was a valuable bench member for Rick Pitino’s Cardinals. Though Spalding would come off the bench, he still averaged nearly 20 minutes per contest. In 31 games, Spalding averaged 5.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Though he didn’t lead the team any one category, he was valuable as a swiss army knife kind of guy. This is why he finished in the top-10 in intangibles percentage.

Spalding’s best game came on Sunday, February 2nd in a win over Syracuse. In that game his value was on true display as he finished with a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. He also had two assists, two blocks, one of which helped the Cardinals get revenge over the Orange.
