Wilkins was a major cog in the Cavaliers’ ACC and NCAA leading defense. Wilkins was rewarded as such with a spot on the All-ACC defensive team. In 30 games this season, Wilkins averaged 7.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.1 steals.
Wilkins’ total blocks not only led the team, but were also top-10 in the ACC. Additionally, he led the Cavaliers in rebounds per game.
Wilkins’ best game came in a win over Louisville on Monday, February 6th. In that game, Wilkins had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. He also had five blocks to match a season-high that he had originally recorded against Wake Forest earlier in the season.
Woods was a valuable starter for Danny Manning’s Wake Forest squad. In 30 games he averaged 12.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. Woods was one of three players on this list to not finish in the top-10 in any category, though he was second on his team in minutes per game.
Wood’s best game came in a win against NC State on Saturday, January 21st. Woods finished with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Woods also pulled down four boards and dished out two assists. The win was the first conference road win for the Demon Deacons since Manning arrived.
Terance Mann was a key contributor to a Florida State team that finished second in the ACC. In 31 games, Mann averaged 8.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. Mann is the second player on this list to not rank in the top-10 of any of the statistical categories in the league.
Mann’s best game was in a win against Virginia Tech on Saturday, January 7th. Mann finished the game with 22 points (a season high) on 7-of-11 shooting. He also grabbed nine rebounds and got to the line eight times, hitting six of his free throws.
