Bonzie Colson is the Charles Barkley of the 2016-17 ACC season.

At 6-foot-5, 225-pounds, Colson plays against forwards and centers who are bigger than him. Despite the disadvantage in height, Colson used his size and skill set to have a great season and earn All-ACC first team honors.

Although he is an undersized forward and usually a low post player, Colson has the ability to score from the outside. Colson can hurt a team many different ways.

He led the Fighting Irish with 17 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. He shot 52 percent from the field, 39.6 percent from the three-point range and 80.7 percent from the free throw line.

Colson had 18 double-doubles this season. His best games this season came against North Carolina (17 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals), Florida State (33 points, 13 rebounds, two steals) and Wake Forest (27 points, 16 rebounds, five blocks, two assists, two steals).

People underestimate Colson a great deal. Although Notre Dame is not picked to win this tournament, they are good enough to upset a few teams and make a deep run.

Colson represents the kind of player who can lead the charge.
