ACC Tournament: 10 players who will make an impact in Brooklyn
Andrew White III earned third-team All-ACC honors this season. He leads the Orange with 17.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. White scored in double figures in every game this season except three games.
He led Syracuse to upsets over No. 6 Florida State, No. 9 Virginia and No. 10 Duke. White posted 24 points, nine rebounds and four steals in a 82-72 victory over the Seminoles.
In 66-62 victory over Virginia, White finished the game with 23 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Last weekend, White scored 40 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals against Georgia Tech in a 90-61 blowout victory. White was unconscious against the Yellowjackets. He made 12-of-16 field goals, including 8-of-9 three-point field goals.
White flew under the ACC’s radar for a large part of this season despite putting up solid numbers all season long.
White’s performance against Georgia Tech is bad news for the rest of the ACC. He is peaking at the right time and his confidence resembles something of Kanye West right now.
Do not be surprised if he has another 40-point outing this week during the ACC Tournament. If he keeps scoring at this rate, then Syracuse could make another impressive run similar to their Final Four berth a year ago.
