Virginia: G Kyle Guy

Guys impact to the team became more needed after the dismissal of Austin Nichols earlier this season. The freshman has responded with a little under eight points a game on 46 percent shooting. Eight points may not seem like a lot, but in Virginia’s slow down style it is huge.

North Carolina: G Seventh Woods

Seventh Woods has put together a strong last couple of games, and honestly the timing couldn’t be better. In his past two games, Woods has eight points on 4-for-6 shooting and six assists in 18 minutes.

With the tournament on the horizon, Woods is starting to give Carolina quality minutes especially as the guard position has been hit by injury. If Woods can keep showing improvement, he may have a bigger impact than many thought come March Madness, which is always good news for Tar Heels fans.
