Virginia: G London Perrantes

Perrantes role on this team changed greatly after Austin Nichols was dismissed from the team. Nichols was suppose to take over the Malcolm Brogdon scoring, while Perrantes continued in his facilitator role.

What happened instead is that Perrantes became both players. Perrantes leads the team in scoring as the only double digit scorer for the Cavs. He also leads the team in assists with nearly four a game.

In his last three games the senior guard has 54 points and eight assists. If UNC can’t keep Perrantes in check, the Tar Heels will have a hard time recording a win.

North Carolina: G Joel Berry II

Berry has been on a tear the last few games. Against NC State, the Junior finished with a game high 18 points on 7-for-11 shooting including 4-for-8 from downtown. He also tossed out six assists and grabbed three steals, including one where he totally picked a players pocket.

Berry did all this while also spending time on Dennis Smith JR, forcing the freshman disher into a jump shooter. Berry is the key to Carolina. If he can do similar things to London Perrantes, it will go a long way to helping the Tar Heels to another W.
