UNC Basketball: No decision on Isaiah Hicks availability for NC State
By Zack Pearson
UNC will make a decision on Isaiah Hicks’ availability against NC State after practice on Tuesday
Just hours before their big showdown with the Duke Blue Devils, the North Carolina Tar Heels received the news that senior forward Isaiah Hicks would miss the game.
Hicks’ absence was certainly noticed as the Tar Heels just weren’t themselves on the boards in the loss to the Blue Devils.
But that game has come and gone. Now it’s time to focus on a big week ahead which includes matchups at NC State and at home against Virginia.

Head coach Roy Williams gave the first update on Hicks’ hamstring Monday since we found out about the injury before the Duke game.
Hicks injured his hamstring at a practice last week when he landed awkwardly after a dunk.
Williams isn’t tipping his hat as to whether or not Hicks will be available for Wednesday’s game against NC State.
Williams’ went on to say that Hicks hasn’t done much in practice the past few days, which isn’t really a good sign. He also said that the decision would come after Tuesday’s practice in Chapel Hill.
For UNC fans, that’s not good news. The fact that Hicks isn’t doing much in practice leads me to believe he will miss Wednesday’s game.
I could be wrong obviously, but i’d give it a 25 percent chance he plays.
The bigger concern is having Hicks ready to go for the stretch run. UNC has six games left on the schedule, with four of those coming against ranked teams. They lead the ACC by one game and the top seven teams are are separated by just two games.
