UNC Basketball: Danny Green makes NBA history in Spurs win

A former University of North Carolina stand out just made history in the San Antonio Spurs win on Monday night
Danny Green continues to shine for the San Antonio Spurs.
The sharpshooter has made a living in the NBA from behind the three-point line, becoming one of the better long distance shooters in the game.

On Monday night, the Spurs rebounded from a loss to the New York Knicks by beating the Indiana Pacers on the road.
Green scored 12 points, 1 block and grabbed 6 rebounds, including making two three-pointers.

That’s a pretty incredible stat to be the only person in the entire league to accomplish the feat in each of the last six seasons.
Green’s career has been a special one after he was drafted with the 46th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was waived after just one season with the Cavaliers and then spent time in the NBA D-League before earning his spot with the Spurs.
Despite not being the star for the Spurs, Green is showing his worth as a role player. He’s shooting 40 percent from the field in February and that’s with him missing 10 of his last 12 three-point shots.

Green and the Spurs will be looking for another NBA title as they are likely headed to the NBA Playoffs once again this season.
