Malik Zaire to North Carolina?

With Mitch Trubisky now gone, having declared for the NFL Draft on Monday, the door has swung wide open for Notre Dame transfer Malik Zaire to come in and play quarterback for the Tar Heels.

Will he choose to spend his final year of college eligibility in Chapel Hill, though? No one knows.

What we can safely assume is that if Zaire does choose UNC, the playing time available to him will be abundant, to say the least.

With both Trubisky and Elijah Hood entering the NFL Draft, the offense would be Zaire’s to run. It would allow the senior play-caller to have one final season to showcase his abilities and audition for a spot on an NFL roster next year.
