Ryan Switzer capped off an exciting four-year run with the Tar Heels. His 2016 season represents another one for the record books.

Switzer set several records at UNC this season including:

  • UNC record for career receiving yards (2,907 yards)
  • UNC single-season receptions record (91)
  • UNC all-time receptions leader (244)

In addition to his prowess as a receiver, Switzer became the ninth player in ACC history to reach at least 1,000 career punt return yards. He holds the ACC’s all-time record for punt return touchdowns with seven.

Switzer ties with five other players ranked second all-time in punt return touchdowns in NCAA history.

Switzer finished this season as a first-team all-ACC receiver. As a junior, Switzer was a second-team all-ACC player as a punt returner (special teamer) and third-team all-ACC wide receiver.
