North Carolina showing interest in 2018 big man David McCormack

David McCormack is a 6-foot-10, 290-pound center that has been getting a lot of attention in recent weeks.

Playing for famed Oak Hill Academy, the high school junior gets plenty of national exposure. And he seems to be taking advantage of it.

In a recent game against Lake Taylor, McCormack scored 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting and grabbed five rebounds in just 20 minutes of work. It’s worth noting, that all 12 points came on rim-rattling dunks.

There are currently about 20 schools that are strongly pursuing the consensus four-star big man. According to McCormack, UNC is following him closely and there is a mutual interest between the two.

He recently visited the University of Maryland and plans to take trips to Kansas, Kentucky and Texas before making a college decision.
