Head Coach: Ben Jacobson. Career Record 223-119. This is Jacobson’s 11th season with the team and his only head coaching stop. He has made the NCAA tournament four times going 4-4. His best season was 2010 when the Panthers made it all the way to the Sweet 16.

Conference: The Panthers play in the Missouri Valley Conference. Last season they went 11-7 and finished 5th overall. They surprised the conference by winning the MVC Championship and slipping into the tournament as an 11 seed. Once their they upset Texas and almost upset Texas A&M before losing in double overtime.

Best Former Player: Greg McDermott. McDermott is 429-266 as a Head Coach. He currently coaches at Creighton where he is 150-71 and three times made it to the round of 32 in the NCAA tournament. McDermott is best known for coaching his son, Doug, who is averaging nearly 10 points a game in his third season with the Chicago Bulls.

This Season: Currently this season the Panthers are 5-5. They opened the season going 3-0 with a win over Oklahoma. They followed that up with a four-game losing streak. They recently lost their last game to Iowa by 23 points.
