Two-star prospect picks North Carolina

Kayne Roberts took little time committing to the University of North Carolina after receiving the offer. It was his first from a Power Five school and he quickly seized the opportunity.

Roberts spent time in Chapel Hill attending the Tar Heels’ summer camp. He also took an unofficial visit in early November when UNC was recruiting him as an athlete, regardless of position.

He’s a 6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect out of Greenback, Tennessee that rushed for nearly 1,500 yards as a sophomore before transferring to Greenback School.

His senior season recently ended with a loss in the state championship. It was the school’s second consecutive loss in the 1A State Championship. Roberts was voted the state’s runner-up for 1A Mr. Football.
