UNC Football: Mitch Trubisky on the way out?

1. Nathan Elliott
Nathan Elliott is the only guy on the UNC depth chart, other than Trubisky, that attempted a pass this season. Elliott got on the field three times this season; against James Madison, Georgia Tech, and The Citadel. He only attempted nine passes all season, though.
While Elliott will only be a redshirt sophomore, he will be the oldest QB on the roster, except for walk-on Manny Miles. Elliott’s UNC stats are fairly pedestrian, but he was the ranked 28th among dual-threat quarterbacks coming out of high school in 2015.
There are certainly things to get excited about with Elliott, though. His ability to run the up-tempo Larry Fedora offense, is one of them, considering how much Fedora loves him a dual-threat quarterback. Elliott may be the upperclassman, but he will have stiff competition in spring camp.
