Head Coach: Mike Jones. Current Record 79-85. This is Jones sixth season with the Highlanders and his only head coaching stop. In his previous five seasons the team has never made the NCAA tournament, never finished higher than third, and made it to the CBI quarterfinals twice. Jones is best known as the son of six-time ABA all-star James “Jimmy” Jones.

Conference: The Radford Highlanders play in the Big South Conference. Last season they went 9-9 in conference play and finished seventh overall. Their season ended with a first round loss to Presbyterian in the first round of the Big South Tournament.

Best Former Player: Steve Robinson. Maybe you have heard of him? Robinson currently serves as an assistant to Roy Williams. He has done so for the last 15 seasons, including every season Roy has been at UNC.

Before that he was a head coach with Florida State and Tulsa. In seven seasons as a head coach he went 110-104 making the NCAA tournament three times.

This Season: Radford is 3-4 this season. They are 3-0 at home averaging nearly 82 points per game. All four of their losses have come away from the confines of the Dedmon Center, including a loss to fellow ACC opponent Wake Forest. Radford is averaging only 53 points per game away from home.
