UNC ends its regular season with a 28-21 loss to the NC State

The Tar Heels couldn’t recover from an early deficit and dropped their final game of the season to the Wolfpack on a day commonly known as “Black Friday”.

As it turned out, it was a fitting name for a day that ended with a disappointing outcome in Chapel Hill.

The victory made N.C. State bowl-eligible and in turn took UNC out of contention for the ACC Championship game.

And although it wasn’t the way that UNC envisioned its senior day going, the Tar Heels still look forward to the opportunity of playing in a bowl game next month.

But before we fully move on to possible bowl games and coaching changes, let’s take a look at several takeaways from this game between long-time in-state rivals.
