The 6-foot-4, 190-pound prospect committed to UNC in July and took his official visit to Chapel Hill last weekend.

“Signing my LOI culminated a long journey for my friends, family, and coaches,” Platek told CarolinaBlue via text on Thursday morning. “I am humbled to be a part of the Carolina family and cannot wait to get to work.”

Platek joins commits Jalek Felton, Brandon Huffman and Sterling Manley as part of UNC’s 2017 recruiting class.
