Class of 2019 big man takes trip to UNC to visit “dream school”

2019 three-star center D.J. Burns took his first unofficial visit to the UNC campus last weekend.

It was an opportunity for Burns, who has publicly said that North Carolina is his “dream school”, to visit the campus where his uncle (Ronnis McGill, 2003-06) played football just over a decade ago.

Burns, a 6-foot-8, 230-pound center would be a good start to the Tar Heels 2019 class, given their obvious need for depth in the front court.

Still just a sophomore, Burns attends Rock Hill York Prep in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He currently holds offers from Davidson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Tulane and Western Kentucky.
