Elite 2018 power forward Zion Williamson makes his second visit UNC

Perhaps UNC’s top target, regardless of class, is 2018 prospect Zion Williamson. Williamson was in Chapel Hill last weekend to watch the Tar Heels’ lone exhibition game against UNC Pembroke.

Williamson is a 6-foot-7, 220-pound small forward and the Tar Heels’ top target in the class of 2018. Currently ranked second in the 247Sports Composite ranking, he’s one of the most highly sought after recruits in the country.

The 6-foot-7, 220-pound prospect is currently a junior at Spartanburg Day School in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He holds over 30 Division I scholarship offers including ones from Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Louisville and UCLA.

Upon his arrival in Chapel Hill on Friday, Williamson spent time with 2017 commit Jalek Felton and 2017 target Garrison Brooks, whom he is friends with.

By all accounts, Williamson seems to have enjoyed his time at UNC and fans can only hope that it’s enough to help sway him from the countless other programs that are after him.
