Another week of ACC Football. Another round of Coastal Division Power Rankings

Week 7 had some teams praying to heaven.

After a week influenced by a hurricane, Week 7 saw some teams needing prayers to survive.

Let’s start in the Big Ten.

With Michigan on bye this week, could Ohio State keep up? The Buckeyes did not look sharp to start the game and trailed Wisconsin by ten at halftime. They finished off the Badgers upset bid in OT with a big sack on fourth and goal.

Out in the Pac-12 more prayers were answered. Stanford scored 17 straight points in the second half to upend Notre Dame. Utah held off Oregon State late. And Washington State kept the Apple Bowl greatness alive with a six point win over UCLA.

In the Big 12, Oklahoma continues to dominate. But then again so does West Virginia. Baylor also won big. The only prayer was needed by Houston, a non Big 12 team, who needed a goal line stop to hold off Tulsa.

The ACC Atlantic Division also had a prayer game. NC State missed their chance not only for a statement game, but for sole control of the Atlantic Division. The Wolfpack kicker missed a 33-yard field goal against Clemson which took the game to OT. There Clemson escaped with a seven point win thanks to a pick to end the game against State.

The only thing that seems certain is in the SEC where Alabama is unstoppable. The Crimson Tide won their 19th in a row. They are beating teams by an average of 45-15. They won their last two games by a combined 98-40, both on the road.

Ole Miss has come as close as anyone to beating them this season and they still lost at home by five and they needed to late touchdowns to make it that close.

All that leaves us with is the ACC Coastal. After a year of certainty in 2015, thanks UNC, Coastal Chaos returns this week. What is Coastal Chaos? Check out the rankings and you will see.
