This is the ultimate sign of being a true fan.

It is one thing to be a fan at an opposing game, it is another to put your life in potential danger by brandishing your team’s colors as well. I have done this several times. I have done it at a Kentucky game and several Wake Forest games.

However, nothing tops the time I went to an NC State cheerleading competition. My senior year I got really into Women’s gymnastics and followed the team around.

One competition was at State and I went wearing a Carolina t-shirt and blue hair. The coach saw me and called me down to wave the flag before the meet. This one drunk State student started yelling at me and wanted to fight.

We didn’t but all my friends said that they could’ve seen the headlines. That is one of my top college memories and it was awesome.
