Attending an NCAA Tournament game of any kind is special. Attending one that your favorite team plays in is even better. If you’re lucky enough to be at a national championship game that your team is a part of, enjoy every moment because you never know when the next opportunity will come around.

I was fortunate enough to be in Houston this year when the Tar Heels faced off against the Villanova Wildcats. It was beautiful. It was raucous. It was everything I could have hoped for. The flights, the money that was blown and the time spent were all worth it. And getting to watch the game alongside my mother was an honor and pleasure that I will never forget.

Although the outcome wasn’t the one we were hoping for, I wouldn’t take back a single thing. Being there to support my team and see the grand spectacle that is the NCAA Tournament Championship was all worth it.

If ever you get such a chance, take advantage of it. You just never know how long you’ll be waiting for the opportunity to see the next one.
