Sean Miller

Arizona Wildcats head coach, Sean Miller should be atop the Tar Heels future coaching wish list. Due to an abundance of success out west, Miller has been one of the hottest commodities in basketball.

His first coaching gig came at Xavier, taking over for current Ohio State Buckeyes coach Thad Matta. Under Miller, the Musketeers participated in four NCAA Tournaments, making it as far as the Elite Eight during the 2007-08 season. He also won three regular season Atlantic-10 titles, once coming out triumphant in the Atlantic-10 tournament.

Following the 2008-09 season, Miller packed his bags and headed out west, taking the Arizona Wildcats job. Before long, Miller had revitalized Arizona basketball, making the Wildcats a consistent championship threat. He has coached the Wildcats for seven basketball seasons; three times advancing to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.

Miller is also a fantastic recruiter, proving this by convincing multiple top high school talents to play college ball at Arizona. According to ESPN, the Wildcats have had a top ten recruiting class in every year since 2011.

Coach Miller is undoubtedly a fantastic choice to fill the potential vacancy at North Carolina. As Sports Illustrated pointed out, Miller may not want the job. He is very comfortable at Arizona, not to mention the lucrative contract he works under. Despite this, Miller has never been to the Final Four, maybe he recognizes the chance North Carolina possess to build a championship team. Either way, Miller is worth at the very least an attempt.
