UNC doesn’t have an easy schedule in 2016, but what are the toughest games?

North Carolina looks to remain atop the coastal division this year, but doing so could be much harder this time around.

In years past the Coastal Division seemed like a wide-open race that anyone could win as long as they could manage 5 wins, but things have changed. The Tar Heels are now considered a dark horse College Football Playoff contender and must avenge last season’s opening loss to South Carolina, to show the world that they are here to stick around.

After winning 11 straight games, the Tar Heels finished the season with 2 consecutive losses to Clemson & Baylor.

The Tar Heels head into this season as one of the Top 25 teams in the nation.

With 2 games against FCS opponents on the schedule, the Tar Heels cannot afford to have any slip-ups this year if they plan to make the college football playoff.

As the season draws closer, we are taking a look at the top 5 toughest games on the Tar Heels schedule this year. Although the Tar Heels face 2 FCS opponents in non-conference play, they also face 2 Power-Five opponents as well.

With that being said, let’s take a look at the 5 toughest games for the Tar Heels heading into 2016.
