The Hard Work Pays Off

Brice Johnson had a goal. He wanted his jersey to hang from the legendary rafters of the Smith Center.

He got his wish.

In a season in which Johnson broke the UNC record for double-doubles, he averaged 17 points and 10.4 rebounds while leading the Tar Heels to the regular season and ACC Tournament titles.

The United States Basketball Writers Association voted Johnson as a first team All-America selection to go along with the many other accolades he gathered throughout the season.

His jersey will hang in the rafters alongside that of Marcus Paige for the All-America honors he received from his sophomore season.
