In the last five drafts and average of 19.8 DTs are drafted each year. Thomason currently ranks as the 68th best DT in the draft.

Thomason has a good sized frame at 6’3 but is a little light in terms of weight. DT’s in the NFL need to be big and Thomason is a shade under 300 lbs. It also doesn’t help Justin that the draft is deep on the defensive line. Throw in a slow 40 time and Thomason is at best a practice squad participant. More likely than not, Justin will have to rely on the degree he spent the past four seasons getting and look at a life outside of football.
