Notre Dame gets a tough break in the first round as they’re matched up with Michigan, one of the final teams selected into the tournament.

The Wolverines are well coached and likely to be prepared for the Irish thanks to head coach John Beilein. He’s been here before and he knows what to expect in the month of March.

On Notre Dame’s bench, Mike Brey has his team playing well, led by point guard Demetrius Jackson and big man Zack Auguste.

If the Irish can get past a difficult first round matchup, a battle with 2-seed Xavier could be on the horizon. Although the Irish match up well enough to beat the Musketeers, they won’t get past the Tar Heels if they meet up in the Elite 8.
