Miami gets a tough draw as the 3-seed in the South region. With a first round win over Buffalo, they are set to have a date with the 6-seed Arizona, who was seeded incorrectly by the NCAA Selection Committee.

What does all this add up to? A likely second round loss for the Hurricanes.

Arizona matches up well to compete with Miami and have a great chance to upset the higher-seeded Canes.

Miami’s Sheldon McClellan and Angel Rodriquez will need to play well to propel their team beyond the NCAA Tournament’s opening weekend.

First round opponent: Buffalo

Best potential matchup: Kansas, Elite 8

Potential upset: Arizona, second round

Best case scenario: Elite 8

Prediction: Miami loses to Arizona in the second round
