Although Virginia lost to North Carolina in the ACC Tournament Championship, they were still able to grab a top seed in the NCAA Tournament.

All in all, the Cavaliers got a good draw in the Midwest region. However, the 2-seed in their bracket happens to be one of the heavy favorites to win the National Championship.

Virginia will go as far as Malcolm Brogdon takes them. His play this year both on the offensive and defensive ends of the court are what earned him the title of ACC Player of the Year. When Brogdon is on his game and getting his teammates involved, Tony Bennett’s basketball team is very tough to beat.

First round opponent: Hampton

Best potential matchup: Michigan State, Final 4

Potential upset: Purdue, Sweet 16

Best case scenario: Final 4

Prediction: Virginia loses to Michigan State in the Elite 8
