Anyone who has even walked past a basketball arena this season is familiar with the name Buddy Hield. Why? Because Hield has shot his way into Oklahoma basketball history while putting himself square in middle of the National Player of the Year conversation.

He’s the country’s second-leading scorer, shooting 49.6 percent from the floor, including 46.4 percent from three-point range. He’s played well, to say the least.

Hield and the Sooners look to make good on their goal of reaching the Final Four. In a bracket that is as wide open as any, Oklahoma has the chops to get to Houston.

It’ll be Hield’s responsibility to lead his team there, though. Look for him to put up big numbers until the final whistle sounds.
