March Madness: The 10 best players in the NCAA Tournament
Tyler Ulis, Kentucky
17.2 PPG
3.2 RPG
7.2 APG
Sophomore basketball stars at the University of Kentucky are often difficult to find.
Tyler Ulis, who played less than 24 minutes per game in his freshman season, averaging only 5.6 points and 3.6 assists, came back with the intent of proving what he could do on the basketball court. Since gaining the additional playing time, he’s done that and more.
Just a season removed from being a role player, Ulis is averaging 17.2 points and 7.2 assists per game. He led his Wildcats to a 26-win season, tying for first in the SEC regular season.
Ulis could leave for the NBA after this season, but could see his draft stock rise substantially with one more season in Lexington. A deep run in the tournament this year could also impact his decision to stay or go.
