It seems like so long ago that Jamal Murray was struggling in John Calipari’s system. But since the move from combo guard to traditional shooting guard and the addition of Derek Willis into the starting lineup, Murray has become one of the best scorers in the nation.

With SEC Player of the year Tyler Ulis at the point, Murray has flourished in Calipari’s offense, scoring more than 20 points per game. He shoots the ball at a 45.6 percent clip, 42.1 percent from three-point range.

Murray and Ulis make up one of the most potent back courts in the nation, and the Wildcats will look to their dominant guards when facing likely opponents Indiana and North Carolina, should they advance past the first round.

Plan on seeing a blue-blood battle between North Carolina and Kentucky in the Sweet 16.
