Brice Johnson has been the most dominant and consistent player that the Tar Heels have had this season. He’s one of only three players in the ACC averaging a double-double, currently in a first-place tie for rebounds per game. When the Heels have needed a spark, it’s most often been Johnson providing it. Whether he is scoring inside the paint, hitting mid range jumpers, or pulling down crucial rebounds, he’s the guy in baby blue that you’re likely to see put up big numbers in Washington D.C. Remember performances against Florida State and Duke when Johnson had 39 points and 23 rebounds and 29 points and 19 rebounds, respectively? When the bright lights shine, this guy seems to show up. We may get another historical game or two out of this big guy before he’s finished.
