3. Going undefeated against Duke in Cameron Indoor:

North Carolina and Duke is one of the best rivalries in college basketball. There is so much history in the Tobacco Road rivalry.

But since Mike Krzyzewski took over as Duke’s head coach, only two UNC players have gone 4-0 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Those two players being Danny Green, and of course Tyler Hansbrough, as they were teammates from 2005-2009.

Perhaps Hansbrough’s best moment at Cameron Indoor Stadium came in his freshman season when he hit a 3-pointer late in the game to propel the Tar Heels to an upset over the number 1 ranked Blue Devils. Carolina went on to win the game 83-76, behind 27 points and 10 rebounds from Psycho-T:

From his freshman year, to his senior year, Tyler Hansbrough never lost at Cameron Indoor, below are the highlights from the UNC-Duke game in 2009:

Tyler Hansbrough finished the game with 17 points and 6 rebounds, but it was Ty Lawson who led the Tar Heels to victory in this game with 25 points and five assists.

After the 4-0 record was complete, Hansbrough was asked whether he would come back and visit Cameron Indoor sometime in the future. Tyler responded to ESPN’s Dana O’Neil by saying: “C’mon man, are you crazy? I think I’ll stay in Chapel Hill.”

For Carolina fans, beating Duke is always one of the goals before the season. And you know you achieved that goal when the Cameron Crazies are silent, with nothing to cheer about.

“Crickets, We heard crickets,” said Danny Green again to O’Neil. “When you leave a game on the road and you hear crickets, you know you did your job.”

Tyler Hansbrough and Danny Green both heard crickets from the Cameron Crazies in each of the four times they played in Durham.
