4. Game winner against Virginia Tech in 2008:
The 2008 North Carolina Tar Heels won the ACC Tournament, and a big reason for that was Tyler Hansbrough’s game-winning shot against Virginia Tech.
I was personally at this game, and the Tar Heel fans inside Time Warner Cable arena in Charlotte just absolutely exploded with excitement, including Hansbrough. Just look at his reaction after hitting the shot!
Ty Lawson missed the first shot, but Tyler Hansbrough hustled for the offensive rebound, which led to his game-winner. That is a classic Hansbrough play with him hustling, and out-working everyone else on the court, something you can always count on him to do for your team.
