Right Guard

RG 1 Landon Turner (#78) 6-4 325 lbs Redshirt Senior

Turner enters the 2015 Season as Carolina’s lone senior starter on the offensive line. He consistently grades out as Carolina’s most dominating and successful blocker on the offensive line. Two games from last year that come to mind include performances against Georgia Tech and Duke where he looked like a man playing among boys (recorded 15 knockdown blocks and graded out at 97% against Duke;). If Landon strings together a resume this season with performances like those, he’ll be a sure-fire first round draft pick and an All-American at Guard.

RG 2 Will Dancy (#74) 6-4 310 lbs Senior

Dancy saw early action in 2014, starting at Left Guard against Liberty and San Diego State. Most of reps as the season carried on were on special teams. Dancy, while fundamentally sound, must develop a mean streak.

RG3 Mason Veal 6-5 290 lbs Freshman

Mason Veal, a highly touted Offensive Line prospect from Charlotte, enrolled early in January 2015 to get a jump start on his training and academics. Veal will likely redshirt in his freshman campaign. It will be exciting to watch his development.

Carolina’s in a unique position this year, with mainstay Landon Turner starting to get some pre season accolades. He’s backed up by Will Dancy who has some starting experience of his own and highly recruited offensive guard Mason Veal, both who remain unproven. If Turner stays healthy, (not a given), Right Guard will be in good shape.
