The North Carolina Tar Heels open their 2015 NCAA Tournament on Thursday night against the Harvard Crimson in the Round of 64. All week long, Keeping It Heel has been previewing and analyzing the Crimson. If you missed some of those articles, check them out here, here, and here.
The one sentence summary of Harvard? They play slowly, their best player is Wesley Saunders and they won the Ivy League, winning 11 of 14 league games and the end of season playoff game, by playing good defense (34th in the nation in defensive efficiency according to Kenpom.com.)
Even though UNC looks like a heavy favorite on paper, games are still played on the court and UNC has to go prove themselves tonight out on the hardwood in Jacksonville, Florida. The Tar Heels will have to play well to advance to the Round of 32, where either Wofford or Arkansas will be waiting with a berth to the Sweet 16 on the line.
Here are a few predictions for tonight’s game. I will predict the performance of a few of the game’s best players and at the end, give my predictions for the final score. But we want to hear from you as well! Let us know in the comments section below how you think the Tar Heels will do tomorrow against Harvard!
