Bigger than sports

This rivalry is bigger than just sports. The University of North Carolina is always at the top of the ranks of top Public Universities in the nation, and Duke University is always around the top of the ranks of Private Universities.

The rivalry between the two higher institutions is much less competitive and much more cooperative. An example of the cooperation between the two schools is the Robertson Scholars program, which allows a few students to attend both UNC and Duke as sort of “dual-citizens” at the two colleges.

Duke and UNC is bigger than just sports — this is a rivalry and connection between two elite institutions of higher education.
