Corey Bell

Corey Bell is from Cornelius, NC, coming out of Hough High School.  The cornerback is 5-9, 170 pounds soaking wet, and is one of the Heels’ 13 3-star recruits in the class of 2015.

While you shouldn’t put money on Bell about whether he will have a starting position by the first game, Bell may open some eyes with his high football IQ.  He is exceptional at route identification, and has the tools to force turnovers when the ball is thrown downfield in his direction.

The Heels are returning eight cornerbacks from 2014.  But based on last year’s performance in the secondary, especially in the Heels’ inability to stop the deep ball, look for Corey Bell to be given a chance to earn his spot on the field.
