Quick Lane Bowl isn’t all that bad
Everyone is talking about the Quick Lane Bowl like it is the worst bowl that Carolina could have ever been selected to. But Detroit isn’t really all that bad. The Tar Heels are playing and practicing indoors at the Detroit Lion’s stadium, Ford Field, which is a state-of-the-art facility. Detroit isn’t a bad city at all — there are plenty of things to do and certainly it is a better host city than Shreveport, Louisiana, where the Heels went in 2011 in the game that must not be mentioned.
The opponent isn’t that bad, either. Rutgers is a good football program in the Big 10 and will offer some good competition for the Tar Heels.
Out of all the places the Heels could have landed, the Quick Lane bowl isn’t that bad at all.
